Another Autumn Poem
No scent or sight of flowers
when summer fell away
and autumn held sway.
All is still with leaves in a heap,
now skimmed of all but a fleck
of what they had once been.
The end: a load of nothingness
to fill an empty wheelbarrow.
I wrote this a few years ago and like it. Decided to share it once again in the Poetry Pantry!
