Cold sneers
cuts through to the bone
heavy jacket doesn't help
skin burns taut
Cold laughs
pierces through layers
dismisses scarfs, caps,
and mittens. They are nothing
Cold kills
breaks down resistance
takes away feeling, without
notice, silent, still forever.
Wow, powerful, especially to this southerner who does not deal with that kind of cold. Very descriptive.
